Sophomore year is definitely easier than I thought it was going to be. Coming in from Freshman year, I was terrified it was going to be another rough year of homework, stress, and “interesting” teachers. Luckily for me, I was wrong! This year has been smooth sailing, except for chemistry. Chemistry is like a storm – you think all is calm, but then a big tidal wave of bad grades crashes over you. To combat this, during the spring semester I am going to focus more on understanding chemistry and try to get all the help I need to do well.
This year in English, I have really enjoyed the class. It was one of my more laid back classes and it helped me with not stressing myself out. I really liked all the projects that we did, because they were fun and creative! I am looking forward to the next semester, because I have heard a lot of good things about the books we are reading. The only thing that I am curious about is…can we get the essay assignment while we are reading the book? That way we can be more prepared for writing our essays because we will know what to pay attention to and what quotes go together really well with the theme. Hopefully, next semester will be as enjoyable as this semester!
